MBS Productions Win Four Montclair State Theatre Night Awards

Morristown Beard School was recognized with four Montclair State University Theatre Night Awards last night. Congratulations to the cast and crew of Dead Man Walking and Be More Chill on the following awards: 

• Outstanding Acting Ensemble in a Historical Drama — Dead Man Walking
• Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Historical Drama — Indiya Weinmann’ 25
• Outstanding Production of a Contemporary Musical — Be More Chill
• Outstanding Achievement in Direction of a Musical — Jim Ruttman

In all, the Morristown Beard School productions of Be More Chill (Upper School), Dead Man Walking (Upper School) and Guys & Dolls, Jr. (Middle School) received a total of 23 nominations in the annual Montclair State University Theatre Night Awards. 

El objetivo de los Premios de la Noche Teatral de la MSU es promover y avanzar en el compromiso con la producción de obras de teatro de alta calidad en los centros de enseñanza secundaria de Nueva Jersey. Los premios, gestionados por el Departamento de Teatro de la Universidad, honran los logros y realizaciones tanto de estudiantes como de educadores en las áreas de interpretación, dirección, diseño y técnica teatral, así como las producciones destacadas en los siguientes géneros: Drama, Comedia, Clásico y Obra Nueva.
