Mind-Bending Fun: Psychology Concepts Come to Life in NYC

To wrap up their Sensation and Perception unit, students from Lori Kretten’s P’28 Psychology classes took a trip to the Museum of Illusions in New York City. There, they explored a variety of hands-on exhibits designed to challenge and expand their understanding of depth, motion, and visual perception.

From mind-bending rooms that made them question reality to interactive optical illusions that tested their senses, students engaged with concepts they had studied in class in a fun and immersive way. The visit not only reinforced classroom learning but also sparked curiosity and lively discussion about how humans perceive the world around them.

It was a memorable experience that brought psychology to life outside the classroom!
